INVESTMENT GRADE ENERGY AUDIT
The investment-grader audit alternatively called a comprehensive audit or detailed audit identifies all possible energy conservation measures including detailed project engineering. It provides a dynamic model of energy use characteristics of both the existing facility and all energy conservation measures identified. The model is calibrated against actual utility data to provide a realistic baseline against which to compute operating savings for proposed measures. Extensive attention is given to understanding not only the operating characteristics of all energy consuming systems, but also situations that cause load profile variations on both an annual and daily basis. Existing utility data is supplemented with sub metering of major energy consuming systems and monitoring of system operating characteristics.

CASE STUDIES
1. M/s. Industrial Progressive India Ltd. (IPIL), Palwal, Haryana has planned to set up Biomass based Co-Generation Plant. Geon consulting worked on the development and design of the project. IPIL has planned to set up one large 20 TPH capacity boiler. They have also planned to set up Generator of 900 kW capacity. The plant is in rural area. The power produced and the process steam is to be used in the dairy plant. The total finance expenditure for the project will be Rs. 350.00 Lakh consisting primarily of capital expenditure. Geon Consulting also has to get approval from Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE), Govt. of India for the subsidy for the project.

Energy Cost Reduction 
Energy cost reduction for most industries has become a critical strategic issue. With opening of the electricity sector, opportunity window is today wide open for looking into both supply and demand side options. It is the experience of GEON from both in-house operational and external consulting that 20 to 40% of the present energy cost can be reduced in most cases in Indian commercial and industrial sector. NEWS UPDATE
M/s. Bhatinda Ceramics Pvt. Ltd., Bhatinda (Punjab) gave a contract to Geon Consulting for work on a development and design of a 2500 CUM capacity Biogas plant with 250 kW power generation capacity. Geon Consulting prepared a detailed project report and design for the project.

Geon Consulting signed a contract to conduct Investment Grade Energy Audit with Spark Engineering Pvt. Ltd.

VCS validation of the project activity entitled Biomass based Steam Generation Plant of M/s. Chanakya Dairy Products Limited (CDPL) has been completed. Final validation documents of the project activity have been released by M/s. URS Verification Pvt. Ltd.

M/s. Kang Dairy Farm, Punjab has given a contract to Geon Consulting for work on a development and design of a 500 CUM capacity Compressed Biogas plant capacity. Geon Consulting has to prepare a Detailed Project Report and Design the plant. Geon Consulting has also to obtain statuary approvals for the project.
